About Me
Welcome! Choosing to consider therapy takes courage and I understand how important it is that you find the right fit for you. Let me introduce myself and explain what the Music Therapy experience could look like for you.
My name is Katie and I am a registered Music Therapist with experience working in areas of mental health, bereavement, disability, neurodivergence and with individuals seeking more control in their life and a deeper understanding of themselves.

My Approach
Therapy with me… is all about you! My sessions are designed for each individual. I use an integrated approach in my work which allows me to pull from a range of therapeutic styles (psychodynamic, holistic and more).
You don’t need any musical knowledge to participate in Music Therapy – it is all about the creative and psychological process and what is happening for you.

Why Music Therapy?
You may choose Music Therapy for a variety of reasons. Some people use it to improve their mental health and general wellbeing. Others find it gives them a space to safely express themselves and be heard. Sometimes life can feel overwhelming and having another person to support you can make a big difference.
It can be difficult to process in words alone, music offers another medium of communication that is, at heart, very human. It creates connection and can provide a cathartic and authentic experience.
How do I start?
If you would like to get in touch to know more, please head over to my contact page. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation so that you can ask any questions you may have and get a feel for me and what we might do in sessions together.
Wishing you all the best in your therapy journey,
